Managing Implicit Bias & Cognitive Dissonance

Course Description:

In this training, every participant will gain a new awareness of understanding Implicit Bias and Cognitive Dissonance and the destructive dynamic it causes left unchecked. 

 

Participants will be guided through the steps of dismantling these dynamics to create an environment of psychological safety and belonging. 

 

Course Competencies:

Individuals will gain the beginning competencies of how their own implicit bias and cognitive dissonance has an impact on the corporate culture and a responsibility towards creating psychological safety while working with others who are dissimilar from them.

The outcome of these trainings will be achieved by defining the distinctions of Implicit Bias and Cognitive Dissonance and how it occurs in the workplace by providing workplace examples. Participants will acquire and build skills through participation of exercises.
